Legendaries that actually match your team.
A side-mod for Pixelmon that levels every wild Legendary and Ultra Beast to match your strongest Pokémon, every time.
⭐ So what does it do? 🤔
You know that feeling when you get a Legendary spawn and it's level 70 while your team is level 12? And how you just get lucky enough to capture it in a Great Ball and now you're just cheesing bosses, mega-pokemon and raids? Yeah, enough of that OP power-levelling nonsense. This mod fixes that.
Every wild Legendary or Ultra Beast that spawns gets set to the level of the strongest Pokémon in the nearest player's party. Doesn't matter how it spawned, natural spawn, spawner block, shrine, altar, whatever. If it's a Legendary or Ultra Beast and it's wild, it matches your team.
No setup, no commands, no configuration needed. Just install it and play.
🎯 How it decides who to match 🎮
- Shrine or altar summon? It uses whoever triggered it. Makes sense, you rang the bell, you get the fight that matches your team.
- Natural spawn or spawner block? It looks for the closest player in that dimension and matches their strongest Pokémon. No distance limit either, so it won't just give up and skip a spawn because a player is far away.
- Level 100 party? You're capped at 100 too, obviously. Can't go higher than the game allows.
🛡️ What it won't touch 🚫
- Your own Pokémon. Anything owned or sitting in a box is left completely alone. This only affects wild spawns.
- Regular wild Pokémon. Non-Legendaries and non-Ultra Beasts aren't touched at all. This mod only cares about the big ones.
🧩 Built to actually catch everything 🔍
Pixelmon has a bunch of different ways a Legendary can end up in your world, and a lot of them don't go through the same code path. So this mod hooks into two separate spots to make sure nothing slips through. The first one catches spawns before the Pokémon even exists in the world, which covers most of them cleanly. The second one is a backup that catches anything summoned directly, like shrines and altars, and makes sure the level actually shows up on the nameplate too.
You don't need to know any of that to use it. It's just there so a Legendary spawning from a Timespace Altar gets leveled just as reliably as one that spawns naturally in a swamp.
🔧 Config 🔨
There's really only one setting, and it's just a debug logging toggle for if something ever looks off and you want to see what the mod is doing under the hood. Everything else runs automatically with no options to mess with.
😐 So why did I make it? ❓
- Legendary's are OP, but rarely fit on a team. Stumbling onto a level 70 Zacian when your team is level 5 isn't fun, it's either a missed oppurunity or just a rampant power creep. That is annoying. This makes every Legendary encounter actually mean something.
- It respects your progress. As your team gets stronger, so does everything wild and legendary around you. The challenge scales with you instead of being stuck wherever the game decided to put it.
🗃️ Versions, Compatibility and Other Nerd Stuff 🛢️
- Built for Minecraft: 1.21.1 and NeoForge. If you're on an older Pixelmon version, the source is open on GitHub, feel free to port it and I'll gladly link it here.
- Requires Pixelmon 9.0 or newer, built and tested on 9.3.16.
- This is a server-side mod. It needs to run on the server (or your singleplayer world) to do its job. Clients don't need it installed to see the effect.
- Plays fine alongside my other Pixelmon side-mods and shouldn't conflict with anything that isn't also touching spawn levels.

❤️ Thanks to the Pixelmon team 😁
None of this works without Pixelmon existing in the first place. The amount of work that's gone into building and maintaining a mod this deep and this stable, for this long, is honestly kind of insane to think about. This is just a small add-on riding on top of everything they built. Huge thanks to the whole Pixelmon dev team for the years of work and for still supporting it today. Go check out the base mod if you haven't.
