Point 2 Point: Speedrunning
Point2Point or p2p is a fairly simple mod that adds one item, the pocketwatch. It is crafted with a clock, an iron ingot, and a piece of redstone.
Around your world there are now "points", if you use the pocketwatch without sneaking, you will start to see them. You can also type /p2p look (auto-suggested point) to look in the direction of a point.
Points look like this:

(if you want to stop seeing them, sneak-use the pocketwatch)
Points are visible from sea level to y=200, but are usuable at any y level.
When you are very near a point, using the pocketwatch will start a timer. You can then travel to another point and use the pocket watch again to record your time. Times are saved on a leaderboard per route (also accessible using /p2p leaderboard (auto-suggested route)). they aren't currently ordered however.
100 points are generated from -1000x -1000z to 1000x 1000z the first tick the mod is enabled on a world, they currently only exist in the overworld. Points are determined by the world seed, and should be the same every time you use that same seed
Why?
Originally I made this mod when a friend and I tried out AlexModGuy's I Wanna Skate. I thought it would be cool to race each other whilst skating. We also had fairly bad internet connection at the time, hence why the points are per seed, so that races could still happen on singleplayer worlds
Ideas for the future
I think it would be nice if the routes or points had more human readable names, also there is a few things I mention above that contain "currently" that probably will not be forever
