Primordia fills Minecraft's wilder biomes with animals that were never modeled by anyone. Every creature grows from its own genome, gets a body built at runtime, and lives inside an ecosystem that keeps running whether you're watching or not.
Head past the tree line, into deep caves and remote mountains, and see what's out there.
What it adds
- Creatures with real genomes. Mass, limb count, jaw shape, teeth, diet, temperament, bioluminescence, horns and fins all come from a genetic sequence, not a model file. No two are alike.
- Bodies and motion generated on the fly. No JSON models, no canned walk cycles. Feet find the ground on slopes, ledges and shorelines, and the body leans and bobs to match.
- An ecology that runs offscreen. Creatures hunt, graze, sleep and raise young nearby. Far from you, populations still migrate, eat and compete without eating your TPS.
- A research loop. Carry a Field Guide, collect samples, build Gene Labs and Preservation Cases to sequence DNA before it decays, and read the results.
- Bloodlines you can watch branch. Local populations drift under climate and selection. Track parents and offspring on the family tree chart and catch the moment a lineage splits into something new.
- Splicing. Study a lineage well enough and you can take part of it into yourself, along with whatever else that animal happens to be.
Genetics, geometry, LOD tiers, config and commands are all written up in detail on GitHub.
