Sanity Mod is a psychological horror mod that adds a sanity system and frightening visual and sound effects.

Main Features

  • Sanity system (0–100) — default 100

  • Sanity decreases:

  • at night, in the dark

  • underground and in caves

  • after prolonged inactivity

  • Restores:

  • during the day, in bright light

  • near torches, campfires, or a bed

  • sleeping in a bed: +20 sanity

Effects by Sanity Level

50–70 (Medium)

  • slight screen dimming
  • whispers, fake footsteps

10–50 (Low)

  • camera shaking
  • HUD glitches
  • black screen flashes
  • fake mob sounds
  • red alert messages

0–10 (Critical)

  • strong camera shaking and rotation
  • mini-teleports
  • visual "Fake" damage
  • VHS effects, red filter
  • Rare fake crash (restores sanity to 30)

HUD

Sanity indicator in the upper left corner:

  • 🟢 70–100 — safe
  • 🟡 30–70 — alarming
  • 🟠 10–30 — dangerous
  • 🔴 0–10 — critical

Other

  • Client/server synchronization
  • Sanity persists after death
  • Optimized, lag-free
