Make fuel stops part of the journey
New installations use the survival preset at 50 times the realistic consumption rate. Engine, frame, passengers, speed and driving style still affect the result. Refinery yields and tank capacities are unchanged.
Existing saved settings are preserved. To use the new balance on an existing
installation, set these two values in
config/pumps_and_pistons_automobility.json, then restart the server or game:
"consumptionPreset": "survival",
"survivalConsumptionMultiplier": 50.0
The shared illustrated manual explains the new defaults in all 18 languages. The 1.10.1 engine-off and compatibility fixes remain included, and the fuel storage format is unchanged.
Install Pumps & Pistons 1.10.2, this matching 1.10.2 integration and Automobility: Unofficial Port 0.5.0-unofficial.36 for the same Minecraft version on the server and every client. Fabric API and Java 25 are required. Momentum is optional.

Projects on Modrinth are automatically available through a Maven repository for use with JVM build tools such as Gradle. To learn more about the Modrinth Maven API, click here.
Note: When available, you should use the creator's maven repo instead as it will have transitive dependency information that the Modrinth Maven API does not. You may also end up with duplicate dependencies if you use a mix of Modrinth and non-Modrinth Maven repositories for your dependencies, because the group identifier will be different when served through the Modrinth Maven API.
