Pumps & Pistons: Automobility
Connect the standalone Pumps & Pistons fuel economy to Automobility vehicles with persistent tanks, deliberate refuelling, believable consumption and a cohesive dashboard.
Oil extraction, refining, cans, service pumps and station building stay in the required core. This integration is focused entirely on vehicles and can be omitted from worlds that only need the production system.
Vehicle fuel
- persistent petrol or diesel tanks for Automobility and RIAutomobility vehicles;
- engine-specific fuel requirements and tank capacities;
- petrol for stone, copper and gold engines; diesel for iron and diamond engines;
- server-authoritative consumption based on distance, speed, torque, frame weight, passengers, observed acceleration and high-speed load;
- safe handling for wrong fuel, draining, engine swaps, restarts and server resynchronisation;
- creative players remain exempt.
Stock cars typically use about 9–13 L/100 km when one block is treated as one metre. Heavier loaded combinations can approach roughly 15 L/100 km. Server operators can tune the complete curve.
Refuelling
- Hold right mouse on a vehicle with a compatible filled jerry can. Releasing stops immediately; delivered fuel stays in the tank and the unused remainder stays in the can.
- Click a stocked service pump to take its nozzle, then click the exact stopped vehicle once. Transfer continues until the tank is full, the pump is empty, reach is broken or refuelling is stopped.
- Multiplayer reservations prevent two players from claiming the same hose or vehicle.
- Animated rubber hoses, a carried nozzle and partial-transfer feedback make the operation readable without nearest-vehicle guessing.
Dashboard
A compact icon-only ten-segment fuel gauge forms a coherent bottom-left driving cluster. Momentum is detected automatically when installed; without it, the gauge uses a safe standalone layout. Amber and red segments communicate low and critical fuel without repeating chat or Windows-style notification spam.
Requirements
- Minecraft Java 26.2
- Fabric Loader 0.19.3 or newer
- Fabric API 0.153.0+26.2 or newer
- Java 25
- Pumps & Pistons 1.9.0+26.2
- Automobility: Unofficial Port 0.5.0-unofficial.29+26.2
- Momentum is optional
- install the matching integration and its dependencies on the server and every participating client
Do not mix core and integration versions. When upgrading from the 1.8 pre-release, remove every old monolithic or split 1.8 JAR first. Existing AutoFuel* vehicle tank type and amount remain compatible with the matching 1.9 integration.
