Rad Beacons adds 8 new beacons with special effects, a few custom crafting methods with fun new gimmicks, and three tiers of items in a crafting tree made to take you through the entire mod.
The new update adds ZWOOP! a sidegrade to crude beaconite, zwoop allows you to automate your machinery with the aptly named Beacon With a Chest In It, modifiable with 4 foci and 6 trims! oh yeah, and it can store 60 stacks of 8000 items... in the spirit of automation, all the blocks can be automated now!
update notes: -added balance changes to living beacon and config settings -added new item for the igneous beacon -added reactor and custom recipes for the reactor (including with other fluids!) -added distillery, no custom recipes but automation and redstone compatibility -all mod blocks can be automated -fixed some issues/bugs -added photosensitivity config option (on by default!) -some updated visuals -optimized/documented code
FOR THOSE WHO HAVE DOWNLOADED PRIOR VERSIONS: you may need to regenerate your config files if the game still recognizes the old ones. don't worry, this is easy! simply go to your game folder (you can do this in most launchers directly), find the folder labeled 'config' and delete any config with the name 'beaconite813' in it. this will regenerate the config on the next game load, which will be useful since lots of things have been added/changed!
GENERAL CREDITS : Credit to Kaupenjoe for most of the underlying codebase, thank you! extremely helpful resource for turning a bunch of funny words into code that works. mostly used for registries & setup (the 1.21.1 modding tutorial), within which I modified the code to actually suit this mod instead of make bismuth, etc.
Also credit to Kaupenjoe for the general GUI style (background color and player inventory slot texture), not sure where it came from but used the style of the pedestal GUI for all GUIs in the mod. I believe this is also credit to mojang since that GUI is based on vanilla?
credit to diesieben07 | https://github.com/diesieben07/SevenCommons for the ItemStackHandler QuickMoveStack code, should be additionally credited whenever the code is used, but I also wanted to include it here for comprehensivity. Some QuickMoveStacks were changed around to better suit the inventory they were used for, but the underlying framework was made by diesieben07.
Obviously Credit to mojang for the game code available for reference, but most importantly the beacon models and renderers are heavily inspired by vanilla mechanics so I thought it would make sense to mention that here.
ADDITIONAL NOTES ON AI: In the world we live in, AI is almost everywhere. But it's not here! This mod is 100% grade A humanslop coded with my own two hands, mainly for ethical reasons. If you are at all concerned about AI mods (as I am), know that this is explicitly not one of them.
