Thaumcraft rituals, run by your ME network.
Infusion and crucible crafts are the two things a thaumaturge ends up doing by hand a thousand times over. RaiThaumcraftAdditions turns both into ordinary AE2 crafting steps: encode the ritual onto a pattern, drop the pattern into the Arcane Assembler, and the network can request the result like any other item — essentia and all.
Arcane Assembler
The heart of the addon, and a real machine on the ME network rather than a glorified chest.
- It joins the grid itself. The assembler carries its own grid node, so a cable is all it needs; the nine patterns sitting inside are offered to the crafting grid immediately.
- Results go straight into storage. Patterns pushed in by an adjacent ME Interface work too — in that case the finished items are handed back to the interface instead.
- It finds its own essentia. Jars, tubes and any other aspect container within 16 blocks get drained automatically — the same range the Infusion Altar itself uses — and the assembler advertises suction to tubes while an aspect is still missing. It buffers 64 essentia per aspect.
- It takes acceleration cards. Up to five. A craft costs 40 progress; the assembler earns 1 progress per tick bare and 640 with a full set, which is sixteen crafts a tick.
- It has room for the big recipes. 18 input and 18 output slots — enough for the widest infusion there is: a central item plus fifteen pedestal components.
Arcane Pattern Encoder
Lay your ingredients into the grid, pick the machine — Infusion Matrix or Crucible — and the encoder resolves them against Thaumcraft's own recipe lists. The grid holds ghost stacks: pure configuration, never real items, so nothing is ever consumed or dropped when you break the block.
When one set of ingredients matches more than one recipe — a crucible catalyst makes different things depending on the essentia — the encoder lets you pick which one to stamp. Feed it an AE2 Blank Pattern and take out a finished Infusion or Crucible Pattern.
Stabilization Pylon
Four pylons placed symmetrically around an infusion matrix — two blocks out on every side, at the level of the infusion pillars — hold the matrix at zero instability. No more losing a thirty-item infusion because something wandered into the room.
Distance, height, and whether a complete formation forces full stabilization are all configurable. Turn the forcing off and the pylons behave as ordinary Thaumcraft stabilisers instead.
Arcane Loupe
Right-click an infusion matrix — or a pylon, or any other stabiliser — and it tells you what is actually going on: current stabilization, how many pylons the formation has found, the recipe's instability against the running total, and the asymmetry penalty your build is taking. If the formation is incomplete, it tells you where the missing pylons belong.
Infernal Smelter
Melts items straight into essentia: 4 essentia per second on its own, +3 for every AE2 acceleration card, so four cards give 16/s. The output feeds Thaumcraft tubes or anything that drains an aspect container — including the essentia import buses of Thaumic Energistics.
