Changelog V1.2
Added
Crucifix
- Added a Crucifix with 100 durability and Moonlight banishment effects.
- Keep it in your inventory to banish Ransom when he attacks, or use it on another player to free them from Ransomware. Uses 10 durability.
- Use it on a corrupted chest to banish Stealer and save the remaining loot. Uses 5 durability.
- Hit a Hijacked mob with it to banish the mob in a blue flash. Uses 1 durability.
- Craft it with four stripped logs, one diamond, and two gold blocks. The recipe appears in your recipe book after your first Ransomware or Stealer encounter.
Hijack Level 5
- At 100 Hijack, Ransom takes control of your body. Your character can move and attack while you play a minigame to regain control.
- Keep your marker inside the moving area and click in time with the ring for bonus progress. Completing the minigame lowers Hijack to 50.
- At 30% progress, your inventory becomes available. Right-click a Honey Pot in your inventory to use it and free yourself.
Honey Pot
- Added the Honey Pot, which clears Hijack and grants 10 minutes of Firewall protection against further Hijack buildup.
- Right-click the Honey Pot in your inventory to use it.
- Craft it with one decorated pot and one honey block. Plain and patterned pots both work.
Underground Ransom
- At Y ≤ 62 in the Overworld, a new encounter replaces Ransomware. Moonlight pushes Ransom out of your body, and he attacks as a cloud of glitches.
- Hit Ransom to knock him away. Watch for changes in direction and teleports; the attacked player can see and hit him through walls.
- The encounter lasts eight attacks, whether you parry them or get hit.
- Each hit you fail to parry deals 2 HP, adds 10 Hijack, and takes an entire random stack from your hotbar. If your hotbar is empty, Ransom takes a stack from your main inventory instead.
Balance
- Damaging a Hijacked creeper now makes it display a STOP sign and freeze for 5 seconds. Further hits restart the pause.
- Honey bottles now reduce Hijack by 15, unless you are fully Hijacked.
Fixed
- Fixed displaced and oversized glitch overlays on Hijacked mobs and the false Hijacked appearances at Hijack level 3.
- Spectators no longer trigger Ransom: Stealer when opening loot chests.
Configuration
Ransom: Stealer difficulty
- Added Easy, Normal, and Hard. Normal keeps the original timing and is the default.
- Easy gives you 0.4 extra seconds for the first key and 0.1 extra seconds for each of the next two.
- Hard gives you 0.1 fewer seconds for each of the first three keys.
Projects on Modrinth are automatically available through a Maven repository for use with JVM build tools such as Gradle. To learn more about the Modrinth Maven API, click here.
Note: When available, you should use the creator's maven repo instead as it will have transitive dependency information that the Modrinth Maven API does not. You may also end up with duplicate dependencies if you use a mix of Modrinth and non-Modrinth Maven repositories for your dependencies, because the group identifier will be different when served through the Modrinth Maven API.
