Changes
ReCased Version 2.0.0 - The World Gen & Editor Update
New Features
- The Casing Station (In-Game Editor): Create, edit, and manage custom loot cases and drop rates directly through a new in-game GUI. No more manual JSON editing required. (Note: GUI is disabled by default for server security. Enable
enableCasingStationGUIin the config to use). - World Generation: Loot cases now naturally spawn in dungeon chests, mineshafts, pyramids, and village smithies. All spawn locations and rates are fully configurable.
- Caser Villager Houses: Custom Caser Houses now naturally generate in all 5 Vanilla Village biomes, featuring the new Case Trader villager and a Casing Station block.
- Custom Texture Support: Added full support for
CustomModelData. Modpack creators and players can now use Resource Packs to give custom cases unique 3D textures.
Fixes & Improvements
- Server Sync Fixed: The client/server desync issue has been resolved. Dedicated servers will now automatically and seamlessly sync custom crates to a player's client the moment they log in.
- Config Overhaul: The configuration system has been fully migrated to
config/recased-common.toml. Added finer control over durability settings, villager trades, spawn multipliers, and item blacklists. - Dynamic Indexing: Improved the registry reading logic for better compatibility when populating base crates with items from other mods.
Important Notes for Updating
- Config Reset: Because the config system was entirely rewritten, please review your newly generated
recased.tomlfile to ensure your settings are correct. - Case Refreshing: If you create or edit a custom case via the new GUI, you must reload the world or reconnect to the server to see the changes applied.
- Deleting Cases: If you manually delete a case file from your config folder, you must completely restart the server/game to clear it from memory.
Projects on Modrinth are automatically available through a Maven repository for use with JVM build tools such as Gradle. To learn more about the Modrinth Maven API, click here.
Note: When available, you should use the creator's maven repo instead as it will have transitive dependency information that the Modrinth Maven API does not. You may also end up with duplicate dependencies if you use a mix of Modrinth and non-Modrinth Maven repositories for your dependencies, because the group identifier will be different when served through the Modrinth Maven API.
