Recipe Item Sync

Recipe Item Sync is a lightweight utility mod that makes custom datapack items and recipes properly visible inside recipe viewers.

Many datapacks create custom items using vanilla ItemStacks, components, loot tables, commands, or custom crafting systems. These items can work perfectly in-game while remaining completely invisible in JEI, REI, or EMI.

Recipe Item Sync v3.0 automatically discovers supported datapack content on the server and synchronizes it to compatible clients, without requiring the datapack itself to be installed client-side.

Server friendly

The datapack itself can remain server-side. Players only need Recipe Item Sync and a supported recipe viewer.

Resource packs are still required client-side if the datapack uses custom textures, models, or translations.

Important to know

Recipe Item Sync does not register datapack items as normal modded items
It does not create textures, models, or translations
Highly custom scripting systems may not always be representable as normal recipes
The original datapack remains responsible for the item's behavior and appearance
