Overview
Rest in Pieces is a minimal mod that slightly changes the early game. It adds cloth items in all 16 colors. Cloths are dropped by Zombies, Zombie Villagers, Husks, and Drowned, incentivising the player to engage in combat rather than simply hide during the nighttime. The recipe for beds is changed to require two cloths, one wool, and three planks - as shown below.
Inspiration
I developed this mod in response to a request on the Fabric Discord server. A user requested a 1.21.4 port of the Cloths mod. However, since that mod is All Rights Reserved, I developed this mod from scratch to act as a temporary replacement until the original is ported. The original Cloths mod is itself inspired, insofar as I can tell, by a feature of the Better than Adventure mod. I am not affiliated with either of the above projects.
Further Details
Zombies, Zombie Villagers, Husks, and Drowned have a 1/3 chance of dropping a cloth when they die. Zombies will drop a Blue Cloth, Husks will drop a Brown Cloth, and Drowned will drop a Cyan Cloth. Zombie Villagers can drop several different colors of cloth. This mod should be compatible with mods or other datapacks that modify Zombie loot. The color of the bed depends on the color of the cloth, not the color of the wool; cloth items can be dyed to change their color.
Modpacks
Please use this mod in modpacks! I'd prefer the modpacks be created through CurseForge or Modrinth, so I can keep track of this mod's popularity. Let me know if you'd like me to port this to another version, or add compatibility with other mods! If there are any features you think could make this mod better - such as additional uses for cloth - post a comment on CurseForge, since Modrinth doesn't seem to allow comments! I'd love to hear your feedback.
This mod will also be available on CurseForge, when it is approved. I do not plan on distributing this mod through any other platforms, so I cannot guarantee its safety or accuracy if you get it somewhere else.
Forge/NeoForge and Other Versions
I will consider porting this to Forge or NeoForge on request! Just let me know which version and loader you want.
