This mod gives phantoms a clearer, more meaningful role. Gone are the days of insomnia-based spawning, phantoms now appear only during full moons, and only once you've made progress in your world. Whether you're tired of being punished for skipping sleep or simply want phantoms to feel more thematic and threatening, this mod offers a refined, lightweight alternative.
Features
- The
doInsomnia
gamerule is disabled automatically. - Phantoms will only spawn at midnigh during full moon nights (1 night out of 8).
- Phantoms won’t spawn unless the player has unlocked the advancement "Acquire Hardware" (i.e., smelted iron).
- When a full moon hits midnight, each player will trigger a phantom group spawn, based on difficulty (Easy: 1 to 2 phantoms, Normal: 2 to 3 phantoms, Hard: 2 to 4 phantoms).
- If the entire group is slain, a new group may spawn after 10 seconds, repeating until the end of the night.
- Phantom stats have been adjusted: health is reduced to 10 HP (from 20), damage is increased to 5 (from 2), and knockback strength is increased to 1 (from 0).
FAQ
Q: Does the mod work on existing worlds?
A: Yes! This mod works perfectly fine on pre-existing worlds.
Q: Do phantoms spawn in Creative Mode?
A: Yes, phantoms can spawn in Creative Mode just like in vanilla Minecraft. If needed, you can disable phantom spawning entirely using the doPhantomSpawning
