The Sandboxes button
The pause menu gets a Sandboxes button in its row of small buttons. It opens the sandboxes for the world you're in.

Your sandboxes
Each sandbox is a copy of your world with its own picture, name, date, and size. Its buttons turn on the overlay, join, sync, rename, duplicate, or delete it.

Turning on the overlay
The eye on a sandbox's card turns on its overlay. Back in your world, the changes made in the sandbox show where they would go.

The overlay
Blocks added in the sandbox show as see-through copies outlined in green, removed blocks are outlined in red, and changed blocks in yellow. Here, a roof tried out in the sandbox sits on the house it was built for.

What changed
Look at an outlined block and the line at the top of the screen says what changed, here Cobblestone to Stone Bricks.

Quick sandbox button
The button in the pause menu's top-right corner jumps to the sandbox you used last. Inside a sandbox, it takes you back to your world.
