Sign Builder Mod 🎨

Sign Builder is a cross-platform Minecraft mod (Forge, NeoForge & Fabric) that allows players to seamlessly build, color, animate, and materialize custom 3D signs. Fully balanced for Survival mode, this mod provides highly detailed 3D characters, compact sub-block mini letters, a dynamic painting system, animated neon lighting, interactive Redstone buttons, PIN security keypads, towering multi-blocks, modular backplates, and an expansive 40-material catalog!

⚠️ IMPORTANT: Architectury API is a required dependency on all loaders! (Fabric users also require Fabric API).

🔤 Grid Mode (Mini Letters) — New in v1.3!

• Sub-Grid Layouts (2x2, 3x3, 4x4): Press Shift + V to toggle Grid Mode! Fit up to 16 independent mini letters inside a single block space.
• Dual-Sided Placement: Front and back faces of grid signs can independently hold and display mini letters.
• Pixel-Perfect Alignment: Full support for walls, floors, ceilings, and 45-degree diagonal backplates with targeted sub-cell raytracing.

📐 Multi-Blocks & Modular Backplates

• Giant 2x2 & 3x3 Billboards: Placing matching sign blocks in a 2x2 or 3x3 formation automatically merges them into seamless, massive multi-block displays with dynamic collision hitboxes.
• Double-Sided Modular Backplates: Mount signs on either face of a backplate, dye front and back surfaces independently, or rotate signs at 45° diagonal angles. Detach safely with an empty hand (Shift + Right-Click) to recover materials.

📜 Smart 3D Blueprint System

• Real-Time 3D Hologram Preview: Hold a Blueprint to project a green (buildable) or red (obstructed) 3D ghost preview before placing.
• Precision Banner Stamping: Banner mode starts placing text directly from where your crosshair aims (horizontal or vertical), complete with boundary protection that highlights out-of-bounds overflow in red.
• Grid Blueprint & Instant Undo: Write single-block grids or continuous multi-block text flows. Click Undo to cleanly revert your last build and refund items.

🎨 40 Dynamic Materials & Custom Dyeing

• 40 Survival-Balanced Textures: Apply wood, stone, copper, iron, gold, diamond, emerald, and more using individual ingots/gems instead of full blocks.
• RGB Hex Palette & Rainbow Animation: Mix any Hex color code, save favorite presets, or activate the dynamic cycling Rainbow effect.
• Smart Fill & Eyedropper: Sneak + Right-Click in the air to toggle Smart Fill, allowing you to paint, texture, or configure entire connected words in a single click.

• 11 Lighting Presets & Dynamic World Light: Use the Wrench to set signs to Blink, Flicker, Pulse, Wave, Night Only, or Proximity Sensor (emitting real light levels 6–15).
• Interactive Redstone Controls: Turn signs into momentary Pulse buttons, Toggle levers, or Hold-to-Activate controls. Includes analog Comparator readouts for numbers (0–9).
• PIN Keypad Security: Lock doors and secret contraptions behind word-based passcodes that emit a 2-second Redstone pulse upon entering the correct sequence.

🛠️ How to Use

🏗️ Building & Placing

1. Craft a Sign Press to manufacture letters, numbers, symbols, and backplates.
2. Place single blocks normally, or arrange matching blocks into 2x2 or 3x3 squares to create giant multi-blocks.
3. Press Shift + V while holding a sign block to toggle Grid Mode (2x2, 3x3, 4x4) and place mini letters inside a single block.
4. Open the Sign Blueprint (Right-Click air) to type words, select symbols, adjust layouts, and stamp complete signs instantly with real-time 3D ghost preview.

🎨 Customizing & Automating

1. Paint Brush: Right-click the air to select from 40 materials, dyes, RGB hex codes, or Rainbow mode. Right-click blocks to apply (or Shift + Right-Click to paint the backplate).
2. The Wrench: Right-click the air to configure lighting animations (Wave, Blink, Sensors) or Redstone mechanics (Pulse, Lever, Hold, PIN Passcodes).
3. Smart Fill: Sneak + Right-Click the air with any tool to apply styles or configurations across an entire connected word at once.

🎒 Survival Mode & Crafting Guide

• Direct Block Drops: Mining a placed sign or backplate without Silk Touch drops the block itself, attached backplates, and any applied material items.
• Silk Touch Preservation: Mining with Silk Touch preserves all custom NBT data (colors, materials, light modes, and PIN configurations) on the dropped item.
• Blueprint Economy: Building with Blueprints consumes the required blocks and backplates directly from your inventory.
