๐ SignBuilder v1.4 Update Changelog
โจ New Features
-
Multi-Block LCD Screens:
- Added connected LCD Screen blocks with seamless dynamic borders (master/slave multiblock system).
- Custom high-tech digital fonts: Modern LCD, 7-Segment, Dot Matrix, Retro Arcade, and Vanilla.
- Feature-packed dual-mode GUI with live canvas preview:
- Text & Format: Dual-line inputs, formatting bar (Bold, Italic, Underline), quick color palette, and live dynamic variables.
- Visuals & Effects: Text effects (Auto-scroll, Glitch, Wave, Rainbow Flow, Typewriter), alignment options, 4-corner widgets, and 15 color themes.
- Fullscreen Animations: 24 interactive and procedural animations including Pong, Flappy Bird, Tetris, Matrix Rain, Audio Spectrum, and 3D visuals.
- Balanced survival crafting recipe and loot table.
-
5x5 Grid & Multi-Grid Mode:
- Added 5x5 grid mode alongside 2x2, 3x3, and 4x4.
- Sub-cell collision system allowing letters of different grid sizes to coexist on the same block without overlapping.
- Independent front and back face cell mapping.
-
Glow Ink Support Across All Blocks:
- Apply Glow Ink Sacs to make any block surface (letters, backplates, grid signs) full-bright in the dark, and regular Ink Sacs to remove the glow effect.
- Independent front and back face glow state support, preserved during block interactions and grid conversions.
-
Hybrid 1x1 Glyphs on Backplates:
- Support for attaching 1x1 full-size letters onto backplates alongside grid letters.
- Full material texture, dye color, and rainbow effect support on attached 1x1 glyphs.
๐ ๏ธ Blueprint & GUI Overhaul
- Interactive Multi-Grid Blueprint Canvas: Redesigned screen supporting layout editing across all grid sizes (2x2 to 5x5).
- Collision & Overflow Previews: Red ghost highlights now warn against placing letters over existing characters or beyond backplate chains in banner mode.
- Auto-Scaling UI Text: Button texts dynamically scale to eliminate text overflow across all languages and GUI scales.
๐ฎ Gameplay & Quality of Life
- Individual Letter Removal (Grid Mode): While in grid mode, Sneak + Right-Click directly on a grid letter or attached glyph to safely detach and return it to your inventory.
- Authentic Audio & Animations: Added wood placement, walking, and breaking sounds to backplates, along with proper arm swing animations.
โก Performance & Optimization
- LCD Screen Caching: Cached multiblock dimensions and network scans, updating only when neighboring blocks change.
- Render Pipeline Improvements: Precomputed font styles, optimized FPS variable checks, and refined bounding boxes for view frustum culling.
๐ Bug Fixes
- Survival Breaking & Drops: Fixed a bug where mod blocks (letters, backplates, grid signs, LCD screens) took abnormally long to break bare-handed and failed to drop their items in survival mode. Fixed blocks missing from the pickaxe-mineable tag.
- Block Destruction Cracks: Fixed a bug where the block breaking crack/crumbling animation was invisible while mining letters and LCD screens.
- Back-Side Wall Placement: Fixed raycasting and offset math preventing letters and blueprints from being placed on the rear face of wall backplates.
- Diagonal & Ceiling/Floor Backplates: Corrected orientation and interaction calculations for diagonal (45ยฐ), floor, and ceiling mounted backplates.
- Banner Overwrite Protection: Stamping blueprints onto existing signs no longer accidentally destroys existing characters.
๐ Localization
- Full localization synchronization across 13 languages (English, Turkish, German, French, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, Polish, Russian, Japanese, Korean, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese).
Projects on Modrinth are automatically available through a Maven repository for use with JVM build tools such as Gradle. To learn more about the Modrinth Maven API, click here.
Note: When available, you should use the creator's maven repo instead as it will have transitive dependency information that the Modrinth Maven API does not. You may also end up with duplicate dependencies if you use a mix of Modrinth and non-Modrinth Maven repositories for your dependencies, because the group identifier will be different when served through the Modrinth Maven API.
