backported to 1.20.1 (didn't test it too extensively, so lmk if any of the other 1.20 versions don't work, i'll fix it pretty quick)

More lag fixes (specifically with permeation) + Configs will be updated live when using ModMenu to change them.
Changed a default value (not in config) down as it was only used for testing purposes, and now just caused user's PCs to burn. Will add to config soon.
