Spesh Animals
A mod which adds side effects to breeding animals, while they are under a potion effect, this will modify their offspring's genetics.
To get stats about an animal right-click them with a book and quill!
Animals that work with the mod:
- Everything that can be bred (except for villagers for obvious reasons)
- Fish - these spawn with a randomized size
- Zoglins - when they are zombified from a hoglin
Animal Stats:
- Size - Affects the size and loot drop count of animal
- Health
- Speed
- Power - Affects the resistance to damage, and damage of animal (when applicable)
Genetics:
An animal when bred develops a gene that is the average of their parents'. This value determines all their traits.
Instability:
An animal's instability is increased by breading its parents after giving them status effects of any kind. An animal with a high instability will have more extreme variation in their traits.
Sickness, Explosivity:
When an animal's instability gets too high it can develop sideeffects, including becoming sick, and becoming explosive.
Explosivness is simple. When an animal is explosive it explodes randomly, unless its in powdered snow, which makes in never explode, or when in lava it explodes every 0.8 seconds.
Sickness is a little less so. When an animal is sick it'll drop a random lingering status effect (including modded ones!) randomly. These effects have a random range, amplifier, and duration.
