StabShot

Turn your sword into a camera without changing any real sword mechanics.

StabShot is a client-side Fabric mod for Minecraft that replaces selected sword visuals with a camera model only on your own screen. Other players still see normal swords, which makes the mod safe to use on regular servers as a purely visual effect.

What it does

  • Replaces selected swords with a camera model only for the local player
  • Keeps vanilla sword damage, cooldown, reach, and combat behavior intact
  • Triggers a configurable flash when you hit a mob or player
  • Plays a shutter sound on hit
  • Supports Mod Menu and an in-game P hotkey

Configuration

You can configure:

  • Which swords use the camera skin
  • Flash color
  • Flash opacity
  • Flash duration
  • Shutter sound

Custom sounds can be added as .ogg files in:

minecraft/screenshot/sounds

Then select them from the sound list inside the config screen.
