Tellus: Atlas & Wildlife
Tellus: Atlas & Wildlife is a lightweight exploration and wildlife compatibility mod designed around Tellus, bringing real-world geography into Minecraft’s animal spawning, exploration, and discovery systems.
The mod uses Tellus’ geographic location data to control where animals from supported mods can appear, helping wildlife feel more appropriate to the real regions you are exploring. It also adds an Exploration Journal, regional wildlife discovery, geographic progression, local fauna information, fishing filters, and approximate distribution maps for discovered species.
Currently supported mods include Alex’s Mobs, Hybrid Aquatic, Naturalist, Aquaculture 2, and Critters and Companions, while keeping all integrations optional.
This is also my first Minecraft mod. I am not a programmer — I am a digital artist — but I really enjoy Tellus, geography, wildlife, and exploration. I wanted to create something that could make travelling around the Tellus world feel more alive and meaningful, while learning mod development along the way.
The project is focused on being lightweight and unobtrusive: most systems reuse existing Minecraft/mod spawning logic, compatibility is optional, and the mod avoids unnecessary world scans or constant background processing.
