Tellus Sable Compat

Tellus Sable Compat is a compatibility mod for Tellus, Sable, and Create Aeronautics on Minecraft 1.21.1 NeoForge.

It adapts coordinate handling and physics integration so that Aeronautics vehicles and Sable physical structures can operate in Tellus worlds, including locations far from the world origin.

Features

  • Large-coordinate physics: uses a modified, double-precision (f64) native physics backend to reduce precision loss at distant world coordinates.
  • Tellus integration: adapts coordinate handling between the world, physical structures, and the physics engine.
  • Aeronautics compatibility: includes adjustments for balloon behavior, altitude-dependent physics, and floating materials in Tellus worlds.
  • Structure interactions: addresses block interactions and throttle lever synchronization inside physical structures.
  • Ropes and constraints: adapts their coordinate handling for connections between structures and the terrain.

The f64 backend has been tested with two players operating vehicles more than 500,000 blocks apart.

Installation

  1. Install compatible versions of Tellus, Sable 2.0.5, Create, and Create Aeronautics, together with their required dependencies.
  2. Place the Tellus Sable Compat JAR in your mods folder.
  3. Install the same version on both the client and server.

The supported native f64 library is included in the mod and extracted automatically. Players do not need to download a separate DLL, compile Rust code, or use a special startup script.

Platform support

The bundled physics backend currently supports Windows x64 for dedicated servers and singleplayer worlds.

Hosting the simulation on Linux, macOS, or ARM is not currently supported by this release. Some Windows installations may also require the Microsoft Visual C++ x64 Redistributable.

Scope

This mod focuses on compatibility between Tellus and the Sable-based physics used by Create Aeronautics. It does not add vehicles or replace the required mods.

Double precision addresses coordinate precision limitations; it does not guarantee compatibility with every Sable extension or resolve every issue in the underlying mods.

This is an independent compatibility project and is not an official release from the Tellus, Sable, or Create Aeronautics teams.
