The Compound V — 3.1.4-r
Acquisition Rebalance
This update focuses on rebalancing how Compound V and its variants are discovered throughout the world. Exploration now plays a more meaningful role in acquiring V-related items.
What's Changed
Serum Acquisition
- Rebalanced the availability of Compound V, Temp V, Pure V, and Unstable V.
- Different structures now offer different acquisition opportunities.
- Rare serum variants have their own location-specific drop rates.
- Unstable V now follows a revised rarity distribution across six eligible loot sources.
Exploration & Loot
- Reworked V-related loot distribution across eligible structures.
- Updated Stronghold loot, including Libraries, Corridors, and Crossings.
- Rebalanced Ancient City rewards.
- Adjusted the distribution of V Samples and Research Notes.
- Eligible loot pools now use independent rolls for their respective rewards.
Why This Update?
Finding Compound V should feel like a discovery, not just another random loot drop.
Whether you're searching forgotten Strongholds or exploring the depths of an Ancient City, where you choose to explore now matters.
The search for V has changed.

Projects on Modrinth are automatically available through a Maven repository for use with JVM build tools such as Gradle. To learn more about the Modrinth Maven API, click here.
Note: When available, you should use the creator's maven repo instead as it will have transitive dependency information that the Modrinth Maven API does not. You may also end up with duplicate dependencies if you use a mix of Modrinth and non-Modrinth Maven repositories for your dependencies, because the group identifier will be different when served through the Modrinth Maven API.
