There are many road markings which paintbrushes can place down. Some even can be placed on asphalt directly, turning the asphalt into that type of asphalt with road marking.
Dynamic Signs v1
Here is the GUI for the Dynamic Road Sign. All your data-driven signs will show up in the scroll-able list. Signs can also be rotated any direction. A preview will show you which sign is selected as well.
Vertical Redstone Compatible
Thingamajigs' Vertical Redstone System is supported in Long Roads, and dynamic signs have a variant for this use case.
