Timber

Break a single log and the whole tree comes tumbling down. No more floating tree tops, no more climbing up to finish the job.

Inspired by the classic Vanilla Tweaks Timber datapack.

Features

• Fell whole trees (or fungi and mushrooms) by breaking just one log.
• Choose which axe tiers can fell trees.
• Turn on extras like leaf decay, auto-replanting, gradual chopping, or hunger costs.
• Axe durability respects the Unbreaking enchantment.

Commands

• /timber toggle toggles Timber felling for yourself. Requires operator level 2.
• /timber config shows the current config; /timber config set <key> <value> changes a setting.
• /timber settings opens a clickable chat menu for every setting (also works on dedicated servers).

Configuration

The config lives in config/timber.json. You can change it in-game with the commands above or, in singleplayer, from the Mods screen. The in-game config GUI needs Mod Menu and Cloth Config installed, both are optional and only needed for the GUI, never for the mod itself.

Details

• Server-side only, clients do not need it. In singleplayer the integrated server handles it.
