Death was supposed to be the end.

Instead the world just… locks. Sound drains out. You can still look around - you just can’t walk, fight, or leave. Feels like someone’s been waiting.

Get hit hard enough to die and this kicks in: a short Half-Life-inspired bit where time freezes for everyone but you. A familiar voice says a few parting words… and only then does death actually catch up.
