About the Mod

Timothaty’s Trinkets is a dark fantasy RPG mod built around unique trinkets, unusual combat and utility builds, and new ways to interact with the world. Many of its items cannot be obtained through ordinary crafting or dungeon loot - you will need to explore, experiment, and engage with Minecraft’s creatures and mechanics in unexpected ways...

The mod draws inspiration from games such as World of Warcraft, Dota 2, and Diablo, as well as popular mods like Relics and Artifacts.

It is designed around long-term progression, exploration, and deeper interaction with Minecraft’s existing mobs, systems, and environment.

🎲 Mechanics

🎇 Synergies

Trinkets can interact with one another and form powerful synergies.

One of the clearest examples is the Undead Knight’s Armlet combined with the Champion’s Gauntlet. Together, these trinkets allow their wearer to absorb Soul Orbs, much like the Undead Knights themselves, empowering their main ability and increasing wearer's armour.

🧤 Obtaining Trinkets

Getting the trinket you need is not always as simple as clearing another dungeon...

To obtain the Echo Sphere, for example, you must transform a regular calibrated sculk sensor into an Echo Calibrator, survive a Warden’s Sonic Boom, and use the attack to power the nearby calibrator.

Another trinket can be created by heating charcoal to a skin-searing temperature and turning it into a protective artifact. The heat trapped inside it can burn through hordes of enemies that deal damage to bearer.

Some trinkets are difficult to obtain and should be treated as valuable possessions. You will not be able to farm an endless supply of them simply by repeatedly clearing dungeons: each trinket requires its own approach to collect.

🧔 Expanded Villager Interactions

Certain items and effects can only appear through interactions with villagers.

For example, if a village has a cleric and the player commits a crime in front of witnesses, the local clergy will condemn them and inflict Anathema. The effect can be removed by using an Indulgency.

To obtain certain Rosary Beads, you will need to complete trials given by a cleric. These may involve taking part in a religious rite, performing three good deeds, or even fasting in the desert.

Discover unique beads for the Corrupted Rosary and Holy Rosary, then combine them to unlock abilities such as Gorge, Wrath of the Wicked, and many others.

💪 Power Always Has a Price

Every active ability demands something in return.

The Champion’s Gauntlet, for example, consumes some of your health in exchange for a temporary surge of power, allowing you to perform critical attacks that deal additional magic damage.

🧟‍♂️ Dangers

The undead do not leave the living in peace.

You will have to defend villages from necromancer attacks. These creatures gather the undead around themselves and surround themselves with undead knights - fearsome warriors who dedicated their former lives to mastering the sword.

Their hunger for power ultimately destroyed them. Now, every new gift is granted in exchange for what remains of their already corrupted souls. By consuming the souls of others, undead knights become larger, stronger, and more difficult to kill.

Necromancers also spread Blight, a deadly soil that infects both the land and any living creature that steps upon it. Undead creatures become significantly stronger on corrupted ground, while the living grow weaker. Corruption appears whenever a living creature dies near a necromancer.

You will also be able to create the Damnation Altar, suffer the consequences of the Altar's Curse, and perform your first sacrifice.

Be careful, however. If you completely ruin your relationship with the Altar and bring an unfortunate villager to be slaughtered, you may attract the attention of the Debtlord - an archfoe that hunts those who owe something far more valuable than gold: souls.
