Flashing Totem

I found it annoying that in many texture packs, the totem constantly flashes while it's in your offhand. This client-side mod changes that behavior: the totem only starts flashing when you open your inventory. The rest of the time, it uses the normal texture.

This mod is currently in alpha and may not be compatible with many other mods because it redraws the totem. It is also designed to work only in Survival mode, since the feature is mainly intended for PvP and isn't needed in other game modes.

How it works

The mod renders a second totem with an animation on top of the main totem in vanilla Minecraft. This won't cause any issues in normal gameplay, but it could cause your texture packs or other custom content to stop functioning properly. In the next update this issue will be resolved.
