Treeplacer - Terralith Addon (1.21.1)
Adds sapling growth support for Terralith's custom trees. Plant a sapling in a Terralith biome and it grows the tree native to that biome instead of the vanilla one.
This is an updated port of Treeplacer - Terralith Addon by Fusion_MC, which stopped at 1.20.1. All credit for the original design and tree mappings goes to them.
Requirements
- Minecraft 1.21.1 with NeoForge
- Treeplacer 2.2.0
- Terralith 2.6.2 (requires Lithostitched)
Install it as a datapack: put the zip, unzipped, in your world's datapacks folder.
Features
- Saplings grow Terralith's biome-specific trees in the matching biomes.
- Covers oak, spruce, birch, acacia, dark oak, jungle, cherry, azalea, flowering azalea and mangrove, plus 2x2 variants.
- 2x2 mushrooms grow the giant mushroom variants found in Terralith biomes.
What changed from the 1.20.1 version
- Updated to data pack format 48 for 1.21.1.
- Updated feature IDs that Terralith renamed or removed, such as
jungle/violetbecomingjungle/amethyst, and the Shield, Yellowstone and Siberian trees. - Oak saplings in swamps now mix Terralith's new mangrove-style swamp tree with vanilla swamp oak, since the old swamp oak variants no longer exist.
- Removed the override of vanilla
fancy_oakand the unusedsapling_providerfield.
Interesting
- This pairs well with Natural Propogation because it allows for modded trees to naturally spread more modded trees for some vanilla+ overgrowth themes.
Notes
- Written for Terralith 2.6.2. Other versions may have different feature names.
- Biomes the original addon didn't cover are still not covered.
- Tree-to-biome matches were made by name and structure, so some may look different from what you'd expect. Bug reports are welcome.
