Unified Storage
One interface for every chest — with nothing to install on the client.
Unified Storage gives your server AE2/Refined-Storage-style storage terminals, stripped down to the part everyone actually wants: see and use the contents of all your chests in one screen. It runs 100% server-side. Players join with a completely vanilla client — no mods, no resource pack, no setup. If they can join your server, they can use it.
✨ Features
- 🗄️ Unified view — one screen aggregates every linked chest, barrel, shulker box, furnace, hopper... anything with an inventory.
- 🔍 Search — filter the view by item name, typed into a real text box.
- 📦 Fast item handling — click to withdraw, right-click for half, shift-click both ways, Q to drop, cursor-click the grid to deposit, plus a one-click "Deposit All Matching" button that stores everything from your inventory that already exists in the network (your hotbar is left alone).
- 📊 Live stats — free/total slots and total item count, always visible; open Terminals update in real time while other players (or hoppers) move items.
- 🖧 Multiple access points — one network can have any number of Terminals. Put one at your storage room and another at your farm.
- 👥 Multiplayer-safe — several players can use the same network at once; withdrawals are always backed by what's really in storage.
- 🧰 Survival-friendly — everything is craftable; no commands needed for normal play.
🚀 Getting started
1. Craft a Storage Terminal Core (shaped)

2. Craft a Storage Link Tool (shaped) — a Stick with Redstone below it

3. Set up your network
- Place any container (a barrel looks the part) and right-click it with the Core → it becomes a Storage Terminal.
- Sneak + right-click the Terminal with the Link Tool to bind the tool. It reports the network's status every time you bind.
- Right-click your other containers with the Link Tool to link them (right-click again to unlink).
- Right-click the Terminal with an empty hand: welcome to your unified storage.
Want a second Terminal on the same network? Sneak + right-click an existing Terminal with a Core to attune it, then use it on a fresh container. (Sneak-use an attuned Core at the open air to clear its attunement.)
🖥️ The Terminal screen
The top five rows show your aggregated items, sorted by amount. Hover an item to see its exact total ("Qty: 12.5K") — the number badge on the stack caps at the item's normal stack size, a Minecraft display limit. The bottom row, left to right:
| Button | What it does |
|---|---|
| ⬅ Arrow | Previous page |
| Empty slot | Deposit slot — drop items here to store them |
| Compass | Search — opens a text box; the view filters as you type, and the filter stays active until cleared |
| Chest | Slots free across the network |
| Barrel | Total items stored |
| Paper | Page indicator |
| Hopper | Deposit All Matching |
| ➡ Arrow | Next page |
⌨️ Commands (ops only)
/unifiedstorage give core [player]
/unifiedstorage give link [player]
Works from the server console when a player is named. Purely an admin convenience — both items are craftable in survival.

❓ FAQ
Do my players really need nothing at all? Correct. The mod never registers a new block, item, or GUI type — Terminals are ordinary vanilla containers the server tracks, the special items are tagged vanilla items, and the Terminal screen is a normal chest menu the server fills with a computed view.
Why does search open a separate screen? The Anvil's rename field is the only text input a vanilla client has, so the search box borrows it. Type, press Escape, and you're back in the Terminal with the filter applied. It costs nothing — no XP, no materials.
What happens if someone breaks a linked chest? Its items drop as normal and the network prunes the link automatically. Breaking one Terminal of a multi-Terminal network leaves the others (and all links) working.
Does it dupe items if two players use it at once? No. Every withdrawal is backed by an actual extraction from the real containers — if two players race for the last stack, exactly one of them gets it.
Can hoppers interact with the network? Hoppers work normally on the linked containers themselves (the Terminal view updates live). There are no import/export bus blocks — this mod stays deliberately simple.
Enchanted / renamed / damaged items? Fully supported. Items with different enchantments, names, damage, or components are shown as separate entries and never merged.
Storage networks are saved with your world, per dimension. Built for Fabric on Minecraft 26.1.2.
