Vanilla Boom is a mod that aims to expand the vanilla experience. All things that are added, blocks, items, mobs and structures, are in the spirit of the vanilla game.

Blocks

Bricks Cobblestone, Mossy Cobblestone, Terracotta, Stained Terracotta, Magma Block, Snow and Obsidian.

Polished Blocks Prismarine, Dark Prismarine, End Stone, Netherrack and Peridotite.

Pillars Granite, Diorite, Andesite, Prismarine, Dark Prismarine, End Stone, Obsidian, Netherrack and Peridotite.

Storage Blocks Charcoal, Sugar, Sugar Cane, Gunpowder, Blaze Powder, Magma Cream, Prismarine Crystal and all Dyes. Gunpowder Blocks explode when lit with a Flint And Steel or hit by a flaming arrow. Prismarine Crystal Block emits a small amount of light.

Red Nether Bricks Cracked Red Nether Bricks, Chiseled Red Nether Bricks, Red Nether Brick Fence and Red Nether Brick Fence Gate. The recipes for fences have been changed to match the vanilla recipes for Wood Fences.

Soul Glass Soul Sand and Soil can be smelted to make Soul Glass. This is a slightly more transparent version of glass. Can be crafted into Soul Glass Panes. Soul Glass can be crafted into Stained Soul Glass.

Gold and Copper Bars Gold and Copper equivalent of Iron Bars. The Copper Bars have a normal, exposed, weathered and oxidized version and can be waxed to prevent oxidation.

Peridotite Peridotite is a new type of stone variation that generates in large chunks around the world.

Hydro and Infernal Rock Two types of different rocks that generate in Oceans and the Nether.

Bone and Wither Bone Sand Two types of sand that generates in Soul Sand Valleys in the Nether.

Stairs, Slabs and Walls Over 200 different Stairs, Slabs and Walls are added for all Minecraft and Vanilla Boom blocks that should have them.

Wood Variations Spruce, Birch, Jungle, Acacia, Dark Oak, Mangrove, Cherry, Crimson and Warped versions of Bookshelves and Ladders.

Fences and Fence Gates All different wood types have their own Wood and Stripped Wood fences and fence gates added.

Items

Wither Bone The Wither Bone is a drop added when killing Wither Skeletons. The bone can be used to craft a Wither Bone Block, Wither Bone Meal or be used as a fuel in a Furnace to burn 6 items.

Magma Brick Used to craft Magma Brick Blocks. Can be obtained by smelting a Magma Block.

Polar Bear Fur and Meat Polar Bear Fur is dropped by killing a Polar Bear and can be used to craft Leather, Books and Item Frames. Polar Bears also drop Polar Bear Meat which can be cooked and eaten.

Pine Cone Pine Cones are dropped by decaying Spruce Leaves at a 2% drop rate. The item is edible and restores 1½ hunger.

Fried Egg Eggs can be cooked in a Furnace or Campfire and restores 3 hunger.

Chocolate Food item which can be crafted with Milk, Sugar and Cocoa Beans. Chocolate has a 50% chance of granting the player with Absorption for 10 seconds.

Pies Three new pies are added: Apple Pie, Berry Pie and Monster Pie.

Cakes Three new cake types are added: Chocolate Cake, Berry Cake and Carrot Cake.

Melon Popsicle Food item which can be crafted with Melon, Ice and Sticks.

Soups Three new soups are added: Meat Soup, Potato Soup and Fish Soup.

Drowned Flesh Drowned drop this item which can be eaten and might give the player the Hunger and/or the Water Breathing effect for 30 seconds.

Prismarine Arrow The Prismarine Arrow is perfect for underwater combat. Unlike a normal arrow, the Prismarine Arrow travels through the water as it would through air. It will also deal extra damage to Blazes, Striders and Magma Cubes.

Mobs

Fishes Four new fishes spawn in the world. Tunas in Oceans, Pikes and Perches in Rivers and Eels in Swamps. The fishes can be obtained in item form through fishing, Villager trading, or by scooping them up with a Bucket.

Crops, Flowers and Farming

Trellis Some crops added by Vanilla Boom such as the Tomato and Chili plant are two block tall crops. They need to grow around a Trellis which can be placed on Farmland.

Wither Bone Meal Wither Bone Meal can be crafted from Wither Bones and can be used to fertilize nether crops such as Nether Warts. When interacting with Overworld plants Wither Bone Meal will have unique effects.

• Turns Vines into Withered Vines which will no longer grow.
• Turns Roses into Wither Roses.
• Turns Grass and Ferns into Dead Bushes.

Tomato and Chili Two block tall crops which need a Trellis to grow. When they are ripe they can be right-clicked to harvest their fruits. The seeds can be obtained through trading with Wandering Traders or by finding the crops in Villages. The Chili fruit will damage the player when eaten while also granting Fire Resistance for one minute.

Flowers Roses, Peonies and Lilacs as a small flower can be obtained by shearing the large variants. The sheared bushes can have their flower's regrown by applying Bone Meal.

World Gen

Peridotite Generates in large chunks similair to Granite, Diorite and Andesite.

Hydro Rock Generates in disks in the Ocean floor.

Bone and Wither Bone Sand Generates in small patches in Soul Sand Valleys.

Infernal Rock Generates close to the lava level in the Nether.

Villages Tomato, Chili and Rice crops generate in Village farms for the Plains, Desert and Savanna variants.

Redstone

Rain Detector A block similar to the Daylight Detector that will emit a redstone signal with different strengths depending on the weather. 0 for sunshine, 1 for rain and 2 for thunderstorms.

Painting system

To avoid the trial and error of placing and replacing Paintings to get the desired variants, the painting crafting system has been reworked. By using the Easel block, the painting variant of the player's choice can be selected and crafted. Each painting takes one to seven Dyes and a Canvas to craft. The Easel supports recipe lookup in JEI and custom Painting variant recipes can be added using data packs. The four paintings "Earth", "Wind", "Fire" and "Water" by Mojang is obtainable using the Easel. When placing a Painting crafted with an Easel the painting entity is modified to remember which item was used and the entity will drop the correct Painting item when broken.

Tweaks

Polar Bears drop Polar Bear Fur and Raw Polar Bear Meat

Wither Skeletons drop Wither Bones

Drowned drop Drowned Flesh.

Painting entities placed with the specific painting variant item will drop the correct item when broken.

Sneaking + Right-clicking a Sticky Piston with an Axe removes the Slime Ball.

Sneaking + Right-clicking on a Piston with a Slime Ball will turn the Piston into a Sticky Piston.

Silverfishes drop Iron Nuggets at a 35 % drop rate

Blaze Powder can be used as fuel in a Furnace
