The idea behind this datapack is to buff underperforming enchantments and make them more appealing (even if still not ideal), and make the enchantment level potencies more consistent across the board. All while remaining true to the vanilla Minecraft experience.
Armors
Blast/Fire/Projectile Protection(s)
- Damage negation per-level increased
-8% -> -16%. - Now only available on chest armors.
Feather Falling
- Damage negation is now an attribute instead of EPF.
- This means that the total effect is multiplicative with protection rather than additive. In simpler terms players will now require a total protection level of 16 and feather falling 4 to gain the full effect (81.28%), rather than using feather falling 4 and a total protection level of 8+ (80% reduction).
- Now also increases the distance you can fall before taking damage by one block per-level.
Thorns
- Chance to trigger set to a static
45%. - Random damage minimum increased
1 -> 2. - Armor degradation is now reduced at enchantment level 2, and nullified at enchantment level 3.
- Can now be rolled on all armor pieces in an enchantment table.
- Reduced XP cost by 33%, rounded up.
Soul Speed
- Movement speed bonus at enchantment levels 1 and 2 reduced
+40%/+50% -> +10%/+35%, enchantment level 3 is unchanged.- This changes soul speed to be more of a utility enchantment at lower levels, with its main effect being removing the speed penalty on soul sand, but still allowing soul speed level 3 to work at the expected effectiveness.
- Armor degradation rate reduced by
75%.
Frost Walker
- Frosted Ice generated radius increased
3/4 -> 4/6. - Now also increases step height by
+0.5blocks at enchantment level 2.
Weapons
Bane of Beasts (Bane of Arthropods)
- Renamed to "Bane of Beasts".
- Damage bonus at enchantment level 1 increased
+2.5 -> +5, subsequent levels are unchanged.- Increases the total damage bonus at enchantment level 5
+12.5 -> +15.
- Increases the total damage bonus at enchantment level 5
- Now also applies the damage bonus to animals (pigs, cows, ect.) and monsterous animals (hoglins, ravagers, ect.).
- Removed slowness effect inflicted on arthropods.
- Reduced XP cost by 25%, rounded up.
- No longer available on maces.
Smite
- Damage bonus at enchantment level 1 increased
+2.5 -> +5, subsequent levels are unchanged.- Increases the total damage bonus at enchantment level 5
+12.5 -> +15.
- Increases the total damage bonus at enchantment level 5
- Reduced XP cost by 25%, rounded up.
- No longer available on maces.
Fire Aspect
- Burning duration is no longer increases at enchantment level 2.
- Now also inflicts wither 1 on-hit for 8 seconds at enchantment level 2.
Knockback
- Now also inflicts slowness 4 on-hit for a short duration.
- Random duration minimum is 1.5 seconds.
- Random duration maximum is 2 seconds at enchantment level 1, and 3.5 seconds at enchantment level 2.
Impaling
- Damage bonus at enchantment level 1 increased
+2.5 -> +4. Subsequent levels damage bonus reduced+2.5 -> +2.- Reduces the total damage bonus at enchantment level 5

- Reduces the total damage bonus at enchantment level 5
- Now also applies the damage bonus to any creature in water or rain, as per the Bedrock and Combat Test versions of this enchantment.
