Warbridle

Warbridle turns a tamed horse into a war mount. Weapons bolt onto horse armor. Flight belongs on the Jet Saddle. Camp kits ride in the same body slot as weapons — you pick fight or trail, not both. Everything is forged with Ember Ingots (iron ingots cooked on a campfire).

Requires

• Minecraft 1.21.1
• NeoForge jar: NeoForge 21.1.x
• Fabric jar: Fabric Loader 0.16+ and Fabric API
  (Forge Config API Port is bundled inside the Fabric jar — players do not install it separately.)
• Download the file matching your mod loader.

How it plays

• Equip armor in the horse body slot. Equip the Jet Saddle in the saddle slot.
• While riding, left-click to fire (hold for automatic weapons).
• Camp armor: sneak + right-click the horse (works while mounted too).
• Jet Saddle: hold Jump to thrust, release in mid-air to glide like an elytra. Fuel: blaze powder or fire charges.

Materials

• Ember Ingot — crafts the whole kit.
• Ember Arrow — stronger archer ammo; ignites on hit.
• Ember Bullet — stronger minigun ammo; ignites on hit.

Weapon armor (body slot)

• Spear — contact damage along the shaft. No ammo. Base: iron horse armor.
• Archer — shoots arrows / ember arrows. Base: golden horse armor.
• Minigun — iron nuggets / ember bullets. Builds heat; heat spreads shots. Base: diamond horse armor.
• Flamethrower — blaze powder / fire charges. Close-range fire. Base: iron horse armor.
• Rocket — firework rockets / fire charges. Explodes (block breaking is configurable). Base: diamond horse armor.
• Bola — string. Fires 5–7 bolas that slow and tangle; they dissolve, no drops. Base: leather horse armor.
• Cobweb — cobwebs. Places real vanilla cobweb blocks on impact. Base: iron horse armor.

Camp armor (body slot — not with a weapon)

• Chest — 27 slots. Contents stay on the armor.
• Crafting — 3×3 grid. Items return when you close it.
• Sleeping bag — sleep at night or during thunder. Does not set spawn.
• Lantern — lights the horse’s current block.
• Frost Walker — water you ride over becomes frosted ice (melts). The horse can travel on water.

Jet Saddle

Hold Jump to thrust. Release to glide. Optional fuel. Cancels fall damage while equipped (configurable).

Recipes (short)

Ember Ingot: campfire-cook an iron ingot.
Most kits: vanilla horse armor or saddle + Ember Ingot + the themed item (bow, dispenser, packed ice, chest, lantern, elytra, …). Ember arrows/bullets craft in batches of 4.

Config

warbridle-common.toml — damage, cooldowns, rocket grief, fire placement, PvP (hurtPlayers), jet fuel.

Note: Only horses wear this armor. Body slot is one item: weapon or camp kit.
