Changelog
v3.4.0
- Added the new "knife" tool type
- There are currently 2 knifes in the game: iron knifes and copper knifes
- An iron knife head can be used with tool handles to make an iron knife, this tool head can be forged from a placed heated wrought iron, similarly to other iron tools
- The iron knife head can be forged by inputting the vertical symbol, then the downwards symbol, and then completing it
- A copper knife head can be made by making a knife head clay mold, hardening it, and then pouring molten copper fragments into it, similarly to how other copper tool heads are made
- The knife head clay mold requires 2 diagonal squares to be selected
- Knifes deal less damage than their sword counterparts and also have less entity/block reach, though, their swing speed is considerably faster
- Holding down the "use" keybind whilst holding a knife will make it appear as if it is blocking, this action does not currently have any functionality but one will be created in the future
- Added the new "Cooking Board" block
- This is displayed as a simple, flat, wooden board, similarly to a chopping board
- The cooking board has a variant for each wood type, and it can be crafted with 1 wooden slab of any type and 2 sticks
- Food items can be placed on cooking boards
- (Note: currently, the cooking board only accepts fish as placeable foods, this will be expanded upon in the future)
- Knifes can be used on placed food items to cut them
- (Note: the cooking board mechanics will be expanded further through out future updates, it is currently in a very bare-bones state!)
- Rehauled fish items as food
- Fish items can no longer be cooked whole in a furnace or campfire, instead, fish now need to be placed in a cooking board and cut with a knife, this will make it drop a new item, "Raw Fish"
- Raw fish can be eaten raw, it can also be cooked into cooked fish
- Raw fish, when consumed, gives the user 3 nutrition (1.5 hunger bars), 1.8 saturation, 8 proteins, 3 fats
- Cooked fish, when consumed, gives the user 7 nutrition (3.5 hunger bars), 8.0 saturation, 14 proteins, 6 fats
- Both raw fish and cooked fish take 2.9 seconds to eat
- The grass block now has variated textures and models for its top face
- Added a patch-check for if players' max stamina gets set to a unacquirable value
- Changed how the compass UI is shown on the hud
- The compass UI will no longer appear in the actionbar at the near-bottom of the screen, instead, it will now be shown as a stylized compass ribon at the top of the HUD
- Changed the lodestone recipe
- Lodestones now require 9 smooth stone and 1 metal ingot (this can be either copper, gold, or iron)
- The compass has now been renamed to "Iron Compass"
- The compass item now also has additional identifier data
- Changed the compass recipe
- The compass now requires a lodestone instead of a copper rod
- Removed the recipes for gifts
- (Note: gifts which were previously placed down in the world will still have their functionalities, and they can still be acquired through commands. Gifts will likely be made acquireable again in a later update)
- Modularized the functionalities of the sharpened iron tools
- Sharpened iron tools will no longer have block breaking speeds defined in their tooltips
- Sharpened iron swords & axes will now show the same attack damage that their non-sharpened counterparts have (although, they will still deal more damage regardless of this!)
- When interacting with blocks that allow you to input items into them (such as mortars or baskets) the items dropped will now receive randomized velocity data
- Additional data has been given to several items in regards to future systems' mechanics
- Optimized the item-dropping functionality of various blocks from Overly-Realistic
