While Yori3o's popular grappling hooks mod is awesome in and of itself, I thought it would be cooler if you could use the grappling hook on mobs. This mod adds that functionality to the game via an enchantment called winch, which allows you to attach to entities and pull them towards you when you release the hook. The functionality was heavily inspired by the winch claw in the game THE FINALS.

Requires Fabric API and Yori3o's Grappling Hooks

How to use:

  1. Obtain the enchantment via enchanting table, villager trades, or looting. It's moderately rare and is basically a level 30 enchant because it can be very powerful in PvP.
  2. The enchantment is mutually exclusive with Gentle Touch (which is from the original mod and makes it so a grappling hook can't break blocks like ice and bamboo) so make sure you don't have that on a grappling hook you want to enchant.
  3. Launch your hook at any entity. You will be anchored to the entity just like you would be anchored to a block until you release the hook with right-click, which will launch the entity towards you.
  4. Enjoy!
