Play it, and you’ll see for yourself.
Something has possessed our server. I constantly feel like we’re being watched. Blocks disappear, and sometimes I feel like I’m in another dimension, but then it suddenly stops. Leafless trees, our village, and the villages of our neighbors suddenly covered... in blood? What is this? Why? Why are they attacking us? There are more of them. What’s happening here…?
And now, “seriously” — play with a friend or friends, turn off the lights in your “basements,” I mean rooms (just a little joke), and try to immerse yourselves. Travel around the world, maybe settle somewhere for a few days, but the general idea of the pack is a more nomadic lifestyle. Stay in one place for a few days, then move on, and repeat. Of course, nothing stops you from settling down permanently if you want. ;)
It’s best not to change the settings I’ve configured — they’re optimized to provide the best immersion in the game. The only thing you might want to tweak is the shaders included in the pack. These shaders are designed specifically for a horror atmosphere.
Likewise, don’t mess with the texture packs.
Of course, you’re free to adjust things as you like, but keep in mind that I’ve spent several hours fine-tuning everything — playing with friends, experimenting, and testing — to get the best vibe from the game.
Good luck! ;*
