Combat its much faster and responsive, cooldown doesn't reset when switching weapons, different weapons have different entity reach and armor piercing, you can spam at the cost of loosing reach. And many other QoL features and balance changes, all thanks to the combat test snapshots port done by Combatify mod. Without it this modpack falls apart.
Overall:
Spoiler
You heal slower and at the cost of hunger rather than saturation.
Many tweaks and additions done to enchantments.
Enemies are smarter, have new abilities, and get stronger if you go to the nether or the end.
Your weapons deal less damage than what you're used to. This is to push into finding new ways, weapons and gear to deal damage.
The time duration for potions is stackable: If took a 3 minute strength potion and take another 8 minute strength potion, now you'll have a total of 11 minutes of strength.
Enchantments:
Spoiler
You can do enchantment combinations like frost walker with depth strider or multishot with piercing.
You can add enchantments to items that you couldn't add before. Like quick charge on a trident.
Impaling does extra damage to any creature that's touching water or rain.
Protection is gone. Use other protections.
Infinity is gone.
New mechanics:
Spoiler
Warrior rage: A kill streak, the more enemies you kill, the more damage you deal, until the time runs out.
Dodge: Self explanatory.
Wall jump: Using the selected keybind, stick to walls and release to jump off to gain additional height or reach. Helps a lot with mobility.
Inventory:
Spoiler
Dedicated tool slots: You can clear your HUD out of tools and place them in a dedicated slot so you have space for weapons and stuff.
Offhand: You can use your left and your right hand separately, which means that you can effectively do combinations like a shield or a bow, or a trident with riptide and other with loyalty. And the offhand has more slots. But if you want to use this features you'll need to configure the Inventorio mod by yourself and accommodate it to your liking.
Weapons:
Spoiler
Great Axe: Has a special ability which makes so critical strikes deal shockwave damage which affects nearby mobs. Does more damage and has more reach than regular axes +5% armor piercing. Great for crowd control.
Great Pickaxe: Critical strikes deal less shockwave damage but slows enemies down. Decent damage and has more reach than regular tools +10% armor piercing. Good for crowd control.
Great Sword: When crouching it will launch enemies into the air, and its supposed to have a greater sweep attack but currently it doesn't work. Has more damage and reach than regular swords but slower attack speed +5% armor piercing.
Spears: Deal double damage when thrown. More damage but slower than swords, and have the highest attack reach (4 blocks).
WarHammers: Most of it's abilities come from enchantments: Can do shockwave attacks, launch enemies into the air, leave them completely paralyzed and ready to terminate em. Does great damage and knockback. Useful to knock out of the combat zone a dangerous threat to take care of it later.
