Cherry Vanilla Plus is a modpack designed to enhance the vanilla Minecraft experience through the use of various performance and quality of life mods. It provides an easy to install modpack for server owners to share with their players to provide a better experience of the game.
Cherry includes many desirable performance mods, mods to support additional features in popular resource packs, as well as quality of life and enhancement mods. OptiFine parity should be expected in most cases.
None of the mods included in Cherry are required on both sides, the modpack has been designed as an alternative to the vanilla client and servers who run it will not refuse true vanilla clients.
Server-side Mod Support
Cherry Vanilla Plus includes mods that can be optionally installed on the server to enhance the experience. Server operators who suggest Cherry to their players can rest assured knowing that their players' clients will support the following mods:
Disclaimer
This modpack is bundled with Freecam. Though it is configured to enable collisions with blocks by default, players can very easily change this and use the mod to cheat. This mod is in Cherry because I built Cherry for my own server and small community, where we allow the mod to assist with building and screenshots, but have rules against using the mod in a way that constitutes cheating. You have been warned.
