Ever wished for a Horror modpack that doesn't interfere with Minecraft Survival? This pack is for you! We have carefully added, tweaked and rigorously tested 24 of the best Forge mods meant to add more Horror elements for seasoned Minecraft players.
Undisturbed Survival Experience
We really don't want to play a pack that heavily modifies the Minecraft survival experience that we know and love. Dwellers of Smayrno is carefully tweaked to keep that feeling intact.
Designed for Multiplayer with Friends
This pack was rigorously tested in multiplayer. Everything you see/hear is synced with what your friends see/hear. You can use Discord or install Proximity Voice Chat, which is also supported.
Less is more
No, it is not filled with every horror mod you can imagine. There's only a few, which is more than enough.
Unknown sounds
All in-game sounds have been replaced to make it harder to understand the source of a sound. This is guaranteed to make ANY sound you hear scary!
Overhauled mobs
Nyf's Spiders and Tissou's Zombie Pack allows for extra creepy interactions! Thanks Nyq and Tissou for the cool mods.
Underground tremors & earthquakes
Thanks to Lucky's Spelunker's Charm II mod, mining underground is more streussful than ever!
Real darkness and dynamic lights, with or without Shaders
While the pack comes with a pre-installed shader for maximum creepiness, real scary darkness is also enabled without shaders.
Cross-platform, High-Performance
This pack works on Windows or macOS (Intel or Apple Chip), laptop or desktop. Thanks to Rubidium!
Java 17 is required. We recommend Adoptium Temurin JRE 17.
Notes for macOS on Apple Silicon Chip
- Shader support is sadly broken with no fix in sight, so please disable the Oculus mod before launching.
- We recommend Azul Zulu JRE 17 or Adoptium Temurin JRE 17 for aarch64 platform. Please check your Java version, as it is also possible to have an x64 Java version with Rosetta 2 translation layer, which also works however with degraded performance.
