⚠️ Important: Memory Allocation ⚠️
To ensure a smooth and immersive experience with Enigma, you might need to allocate more memory to your Minecraft instance. Don't let technicalities interrupt your adventure!
Here's a quick guide:
- Open your Modrinth Launcher.
- Click on Settings (usually a gear icon ⚙️) in the bottom left.
- Navigate to Instance Options.
- Scroll down to find Memory Allocated (or JVM Arguments, look for
-Xmx
). - Increase the value. For example, if it says
-Xmx2G
(2GB), you can change it to-Xmx8G
for 8000MB (8GB).- Pro Tip: A good starting point is around 6000MB to 8000MB (6GB to 8GB), but do not allocate more than 50-75% of your total system RAM, as this can cause system instability. I personally use around 8000MB, which is about a quarter of my total RAM.
Caution: Allocating too much memory can sometimes be as problematic as too little. Find a balance that works for your system.
