Familiar but Better is, in my opinion, one of the best ways to play vanilla Minecraft. It’s not just a collection of the most popular mods from Modrinth (although there are quite a few of them), but my own personal modpack for the game. I played Minecraft for months and gradually added only the features that, in my opinion, should have been part of the game in the first place. I didn’t add any visual overhauls, new particles, or items - only small, carefully chosen features, such as being able to leash villagers or mute individual game sounds. The modpack contains more than 90 mods, and almost all of them are things you can regularly find useful. There are also several resource packs that make the game more convenient (for example, glowing ores, improved redstone component textures, and so on).
WARNING!!! There is Fast Backups mod in the modpack. It lets you create restore points of your worlds, but it needs GIT to be able to work. Please go to official GIT Website and install a latest version of it. Without GIT you will not be able to create backups of your worlds!!!
In the future, new mods will be added to the modpack and existing ones will be updated. Whenever possible, FbB will move to newer versions of Minecraft, but this is a fairly slow process — not all mod authors update their projects to the latest game versions quickly.
P.S. All optimization mods were taken from the Remarkably Optimized modpack. I didn’t reinvent the wheel and decided to use a tried-and-tested foundation for all Minecraft versions.
