Festive Fantasy
A Fantasy-Inspired modpack, fit for the winter season. Highly focused on the immersive aspects, with a number of curios, food related mods, and upgrades to travelling and nomadic bases, with a vanilla-lite feel.
Above ground is largely peaceful, bar a few bands of wandering pillagers. In contrast, the depths are filled with a number of lurking undead. However, as the corners of the map are expanded on, beware - Here Lies Dragons.
Typical vanilla progression amplified by soft-magic systems. No throwing fireballs here, but the opportunity to use powerful rituals to attain gear from mods like Malum, Eidolon:Repraised, and Enchanted:Witchcraft, as well as the eventual access to Flight via Ice & Fire's Dragon taming!
The mod uses Serene Seasons to allow for constant falling snow, and a few other immersive mods. This includes Cold Sweat, a temperature mod, but the default configs should have this so that this is largely cosmetic, with a small health cap when freezing - balanced out by the fact there are no mods above the surface.
This mod seeks to prolongue the "midgame" of Minecraft, focusing on horses for movement, and hitting its stride with Magic around the same time as the Enchanting Table becomes available. Additionally, to encourage exploration, the End Remastered mod requires players to find 12 eyes hidden around the world in structures before being able to enter the End(game)!
Highly Recommended Items for Travelling:
- Campfire
- Backpack
- Flute (
to annoy your friends!Features a Drag&Drop MIDI file system to import your favourite fantasy songs!) - Map Atlas
- Frying Pan
- Conestoga Wagon (and Horses)
