Modpack for Fraction Dolphin: Adventure!

Which version do I download?

If you don't know the difference between the A-branch modpack [Version A] and the M-branch modpack [Patch Mx.x], download the A branch! M-branch users will have to update their modpacks manually at every server update and lose their local data like saves, resource packs and schematics.

How to install [A-Branch users]

1. Download "Fraction Dolphin Version A" modpack on the left. It should be the first in the list.
2. If you're on the Modrinth desktop client, it will be added to your modpacks. If you're using the web, make sure you have downloaded the Modrinth Launcher. Run the .mrpack file you've downloaded and it will add the modpack to your Modrinth launcher.
3. Once it is added, run the modpack. It will look like a normal Minecraft launcher at first.
4. Go to the Multiplayer tab and join the server.
5. When prompted, click the green "Download update" button.
6. As soon as all the mods download, it will prompt you to close the game. Once it's closed, you have to manually reopen the game in your Modrinth launcher.
7. On the second run, it will take a little longer than usual to load the game. This is normal! DashLoader is assembling a cache to make the game launch faster in the future. You're ready to play on the server!

How to install [M-Branch users]

First: What is the difference between A and M branches?

The M-branch contains all the mod, config and resource files for the current patch of the Fraction Dolphin modpack. It is less technically complex on the back-end, which makes it a good option for users who are troubleshooting the A-branch, however, it will not automatically update. The A-branch initially only contains AutoModpack and preconfiguration files within DefaultOptions. However, when you attempt to join the server, it will pull the most recent update of the Fraction Dolphin modpack automatically from the server files and install them.

Only install the M-Branch if you:

• Are having trouble installing the A-branch.
• Are blocked from installing the A-branch due to a firewall or similar.
• Have a reason to really really not trust me. :(
• Want to install an older version of the Fraction Dolphin Modpack.

M-Branch installation guide

1. Download "Fraction Dolphin Patch Mx.x" [where each x is the version number] on the left. If it's not listed, check under the "Versions" tab.
2. If you're on the Modrinth desktop client, it will be added to your modpacks. If you're using the web, make sure you have downloaded the Modrinth Launcher. Run the .mrpack file you've downloaded and it will add the modpack to your Modrinth launcher.
3. Run the modpack. It will be slow on its first run due to DashLoader, but it will run like normal.
4. The server will be pre-added in the Multiplayer tab. You're ready to play on the server!
