## *New version is out! FroggyCraft 1.2* This modpack provides a vanilla+ experience that adds new biomes, new and overhauled mobs, powerful tools, quality-of-life improvements, under-the-hood fixes, performance enhancements, and much more. Oh and I almost forgot, the pack has a whole bunch of mods and other content related to **frogs** 🐸! I like frogs, and I hope you do too :] If you have an older or lower power PC that struggles with demanding mods like Create or if you want nothing more than frogs and performance optimizations, you might prefer the [**FroggyCraft Lite**](https://modrinth.com/modpack/froggycraft-lite) modpack – all the frog-related content from FroggyCraft with none of the extras! Join the [**FroggyCraft Discord**](https://discord.gg/WBQRfBgQEY) to report bugs, get help, and chat with other FroggyCrafters. **New for FroggyCraft 1.2**: There's pet frogs, a new type of poison dart frog, pet tadpoles, improved Ribbits, and even non-frog-related stuff if you can believe it! Updates have also been made that affect a lot of under-the-hood elements of FroggyCraft, workarounds for mods with bugs and other fixes, a lot that won't be noticed, and that's the point - a smoother experience for all the FrogyCrafters out there!

It also gives then Jump Boost 5 so they can hop around like real frogs! - [***SpaceFrog's Frog Variant Changer***](https://modrinth.com/datapack/spacefrogs-frog-changer) (datapack): lets you use name tags to change the appearance frogs to any other vanilla or More Frogs 2 variant. Guide for Installation on Servers

The following is a step-by-step guide on how to install FroggyCraft on a server hosted by Modrinth, but the general points should be applicable to other hosting services:

Download this file: PATCHED_MODS_FOR_FROGGYCRAFT_SERVERS.zip. If the link isn't working, you can join the FroggyCraft Discord and download this zip file from the pinned comment in the "troubleshooting" chat.

Unzip the files in PATCHED_MODS_FOR_FROGGYCRAFT_SERVERS.zip to a folder on your PC.

Log into your account on the Modrinth website. Start a new server or reset an old server and select the installation type "Modpack base".

In the modpack search bar, enter "FroggyCraft", select the modpack, and set the properties you want for the server (e.g., game mode, difficulty, etc.).

Under the "Content" tab you'll find the mods and datapacks associated with FroggyCraft. Disable all of the mods with the yellow warning triangle indicating they're client-side only mods with the exception of the mods "Athena" and "Chipped" – do not disable these mods. Also disable Axiom since it's not allowed on servers without paying for it. In case you're not installing the modpack on a Modrinth hosted server, here's a complete list of mods to disable:

There are four mods that need to be replaced with patched versions – Bucket of Frog, Pick Your Poison, Re:Deco, and Structurify. Click on "Content" under the modpack options and disable the stock mods.

Click the "Upload files" button and upload the patched .jar files Bucket of Frog, Pick Your Poison, Re:Deco, and Structurify found in the folder on your PC where you unzipped the PATCHED_MODS_FOR_FROGGYCRAFT_SERVERS.zip file. The patched file names end in "..._FROGGYCRAFT_PATCH.jar" so as to avoid confusion with their unpatched versions.
^{Note: Do not replace these mods with their patched version on your local client – FroggyCraft will run perfectly fine on your PC without any modifications and will be able to log into any server running the same version of FroggyCraft so long as the server's mods have been patched.}

You're all done setting up the server. Start the server and try logging into it from your PC. You might get an error when first logging in, but just try again, and it should work (this seems to be a sporadic issue related to Modrinth servers). For trouble shooting, join the Discord and ask for help in the troubleshooting chat.

Known Bugs

Items in the hotbar might be invisible upon first login; open your backpack once to resolve this.
Aquarium from Additional Fishing does not render vanilla fish/aquatics; they still exist and can be retrieved with a bucket but can’t be seen in the aquarium.
Frog variants from the More Frogs 2 mod (e.g., a sculk, purpur, or crimson frogs) will revert to a vanilla variant when placed in a bucket. This is an issue with the Bucket of Frogs mod, and there is no known workaround yet.
There is a compatibility issue between the Fresh Animations resource pack and the Critter Armor mod where the armor on animals other than horses will not appear correctly and the animal will clip through the armor. This does not affect the armor's performance and is only a visual glitch. Currently, the only way to resolve this is to disable the Fresh Animations resource pack, which can be done either in the Modrinth loader or in-game under the Recourse Pack options.
The mods Bucket of Frog, Pick Your Poison, Re:Deco, and Structurify have bugs that crash servers. To run FroggyCraft on a server, you'll need to use patched versions of these mods – links and instructions are found above in the "Guide for Installation on Servers" section.
The version of Roughly Enough Items (REI) compatible with this modpack is bugged where block and item tags cannot be displayed. The "Tags" tab has been hidden until a resolution can be found.
Charm's Shulker Box Drag & Drop feature is incompatible with Reinforced Shulker Boxes - if you try to empty a Reinforced Shulker Box into your inventory or chest, any item located after the 27th slot will be deleted. To prevent loss of items, the "ShulkerBoxDragDrop enabled" config in charm-common.toml has been set to false (set it to true is you want to re-enable this feature at your own risk).

Future Plans

Plans for FroggyCraft v1.3 or later:

SpaceFrog's Customizable Ribbit Band (datapack): will let you select the members of Ribbit bands. Examples: like the drummers the most? Then you can select to have drummers always present in any Ribbit band. Have Ribbits change instruments on the fly.
SpaceFrog's FrogCoin Currency (datapack): pay for villager trades with FrogCoin instead of lousy old emeralds. Your server economy can also run on FrogCoin - FrogCoin for everyone!
The modpack won't be updating to a version of Minecraft newer than 1.20.1 until the fabric version of Create Mod updates. Until then, I'll be adding mods that backport features of newer versions of Minecraft when possible.
If you have suggestions or features or changes to the next version of FroggyCraft, let me know by joining the FroggyCraft Discord (see the link at the top of the page).
