A Create-focused NeoForge 1.21.1 modpack built around flying machines and a world worth flying over.

This pack is still in active development. Expect breaking changes between versions, and back up any single player worlds before updating.

Summary

Project M43 is the next eddition in the M series of modpacks: a curated set of 165 mods this time released for Minecraft 1.21.1 on NeoForge. The focus of the pack is on engineering with Create and Create Aeronautics, with additional mods like ComputerCraftTweaked and Create: Electro Energistics to simulate basic computer science and electrical engineering within the game. Around that core, the world generation is reworked to make long-distance travel interesting, and a performance stack with Distant Horizons lets you actually see where you're flying. This pack is mostly put together and published to facilitate the multiplayer experience on the M43 server. Join the discord for more info.

This pack is put together mainly for the M43 main multiplayer server, but everything works in single player too.

Features

[+] Flight and engineering

• Create Aeronautics turn contraptions into flying machines.
• Create Avionics, Propulsion, Flight Control and Tweaked Controllers make more aeronautics options.
• Steam 'n' Rails and Railways Navigator expand Create's trains, and Coasters adds roller coasters. I'm hoping we can build a big railway network with computerized control.
• TFMG and Diesel Generators bring oil, steel and heavy industry. Create Big Cannons lets you arm what you contraptions.
• More Create add-ons for everyday use: Enchantment Industry, Central Kitchen, Bits 'n' Bobs, Create Deco, Copycats+, and others.
• Villager Trading is nerfed and librarians are removed. I hate them.
• CC: Tweaked computers for scripting your machines. Note that Mining Turtles are disabled on the server. Use your creative skills to incorporate computer control into custom physics based mining machines.

• Quality-of-life mods such as JEI/EMI, AppleSkin, Carry On, Comforts, Corpse, Mouse Tweaks and Shulker Box Tooltip.
• Simple Voice Chat for proximity voice on the server.

[+] Performance and visuals

• Performance mods: Sodium, Lithium, C2ME, ModernFix, FerriteCore, ImmediatelyFast, Entity Culling, Noisium and Krypton.
• Distant Horizons renders simplified terrain far beyond normal render distance.
• Optional client polish: Sodium Dynamic Lights, Visuality, Particle Rain, Sound Physics Remastered, 3D Skin Layers, Entity Model/Texture Features, Not Enough Animations and Wavey Capes.
• Iris with three bundled shader packs: Complementary Reimagined, Complementary Unbound and Bliss.

More info

• Shaders are optional. If your PC is rubbish, don't bother. To use one, open Options > Video Settings > Shader Packs and choose one of the bundled packs. You can add any shaders or texture packs that you like, but note that outside shader packs or swapped rendering mods may not work with Veil sublayers, Create contraptions or Distant Horizons.
• The pack is required on both client and server. To join the M43 server, or any server running the pack, you need the same version.
• Hardware: Distant Horizons, large Create builds and shaders all add load. Give Minecraft at least 6-8 GB of RAM, and lower or disable Distant Horizons render distance if your PC struggles.
• Pre-release: versions may not be compatible with each other. Back up worlds before updating.

Installation

1. Install through the Modrinth App, or download the .mrpack file from the Versions tab and import it into Prism Launcher or another launcher that supports Modrinth modpacks.
2. The launcher sets up Minecraft 1.21.1 with NeoForge 21.1.247 for you.
3. Set your memory allocation (see above), launch, then create a world or join a server.

Credits

Project M43 is at the end of the day just a low effort collection of mods compiled for use on the server. Every mod in it belongs to its original authors and is downloaded directly from its official Modrinth page. Huge thanks to the Create, Create Aeronautics, Distant Horizons, and to every other mod author whose work makes this pack possible. (^_^)/
