Summary
An attempt to make Minecraft more in-depth while keeping the core of Minecraft intact. With a particular focus on a Multiplayer experience, the modpack should also suffice as an In-Depth SP experience, with plenty of Magic and Tech mods to get lost in and incentives to explore and interact with as many Vanilla Default game systems. If those game systems (say enchanting) aren't particurlarly deep, then the pack simply adds and makes changes to those systems as opposed to throwing it out (in this case via Enchantery). No Mod should overrule and be "better" than any other and should instead coalesce into a cohesive and enjoyable experience.
World Gen
Terralith and Tectonic add so much to exploring your world with many varied and sometimes dangerous world gen. Giant Mountains, Vast Vistas, Mesas and Jungles, Large chunks of Earth sometimes cracked and crumblimg. The Variety always leaves much to explore and alongside YUNG's set of mods you'll always have something to be awestruck by, leading into the...
Exploration
With the addition of Waystones you can explore to your hearts content without the fear of getting lost (though you still very well can, hope you find waystone soon ;) ). Villages and generated structures are there to help break up what I would call monotony (if the landscape wasn't so dang pretty) and as such little adventures are far more frequent with plenty to go out and find. Need better enchantments? Go find them! Unlucky and can't find the ones you want? Well with Runic Enchantment you can make them! but you're gonna have to go out and find those runes. Perhaps you love the landscape, well go grab your Camera from the Exposure mod and start taking pics to memoraialize your adventure. Grab your brush and palette from the Joy of Painting mod and maybe have a nice Minecraft day painting that Mountain or Riverside Village.
Magic and Tech
With mods like Create and Botania you can automate and create vast structures just like you could in the good ol' days of Forge mods like Ender IO, Buildcraft, Mekanism, Thaumcraft, etc. The experience by no means will be a 1:1, but the joy of building production chains and manipluating the world to your whims with magic and drils is here for you. Wanna be a Witch? We got that. Train Conducter? Check. Chunk Deleter? Done and Done. Amethyst Imbument is also here to give your pretty Rocks POWWAAA! Magic very clearly exists in Minecraft, and you get to utilize it for more than simply enchanting Items.
QoL & Immersion
Alongside all of these changes and things added to the game is a host of smaller things to help immerse you into the world. With a host of particle effects to falling leaves, cave dust, wakes and splashes (thanks Particular ;) ) and dynamic lighting the world will feel more alive than you'd expect. To further compliment these new immersive aspects is a host of QoL mods to better remove any frusration and friction the game could bring. Watches and Compasses now show up on your hud from inventory (yay more stuff on the hotbar!), holding a compass now has a HUD showing the cardinal directions and waypoints, the HUD now shows specific armor values, Enchantment Books now describe their respective enchantments and you can even read them for more detailed information. This is just a handfull of changes made to make playing the game more intuitive with less Wiki searching for those who don't already have every aspect of this wonderful game memorized.
It's a WIP!
What's here on its first upload is great, but there's plenty more to do, and I think serves as a good expample of what I'm aiming for. Minecraft is amazing, but as a game to simply pick up and play its unintuitive and without previous knowledge or wiki searching you'd be hard pressed as a newcomer to enjoy your stay. So here's to remedying that, to making Minecraft a game you can get lost even further in, to explore and develop greater understanding of its systems and designs through gameplay, and craft memorable experiences with friends alongside you.
Here's to Minecraft 2: Electric Boogaloo
