Version info
Example version: 19.4+2.1a
- The first set of numbers (19.4) are for the Minecraft version 1.19.4
- The 4th number (2) is the major version of OptiFine for Fabric
- The 5th number (1) is the minor version of OptiFine for Fabric
- The letter (a) is the release channel of the pack
Major version info: The latest major version (and the one I recommend playing on) is v3.
Minor version info: Minor versions only update when a mod is updated or a bug has been fixed, so just play on the latest minor version for your Minecraft version. Release channel info: - A: Stands for Alpha, which is the most unstable channel. It will most likely have bugs or major missing features.
- B: Stands for Beta, which is a testing channel. It may have bugs or minor missing features.
- No letter: Stable. This is the channel that I recommend playing on, as it has been tested and has all of the features.
The only time you should use Alpha or Beta builds is when you need to play on that version, and even then, please report any and all bugs you find.
Report bugs at the official bug tracker!
