Silica
Fabric performance, polished.
Silica is our independently curated Minecraft modpack for smoother frame rates, shorter loading times, lower memory usage, and a cleaner everyday experience. It combines proven performance improvements with practical visual, multiplayer, accessibility, and quality-of-life features—without changing the core feel of Minecraft.
What you get
- Carefully selected performance and memory optimizations
- Faster loading and a smoother, more responsive client
- Shader support and useful visual improvements
- Multiplayer-friendly client features
- Quality-of-life additions that stay close to vanilla gameplay
- Dedicated compatibility builds from Minecraft 1.14.4 through 26.2
Built for many Minecraft versions
Silica is maintained version by version. We adapt the mod selection for each Minecraft release, replace or remove incompatible components, and test the resulting build instead of forcing one identical mod list across every version.
The available features and mod count therefore vary between releases. Download the file that exactly matches your Minecraft version.
Tested releases
Compatibility releases are smoke-tested by launching them to the Minecraft main menu before publication. When a mod is unavailable or unstable on a particular Minecraft version, we use a compatible alternative or leave it out so the pack can launch reliably.
If you encounter a version-specific problem, report the Minecraft version you selected and attach the latest log.
Independent project
Silica is independently curated, adapted, tested, branded, and maintained. It is not an official edition of, or affiliated with, another modpack. Some open-source configuration work and version baselines were originally derived from Fabulously Optimized under its BSD 3-Clause license; our cross-version builds, compatibility changes, added mod selection, testing, and releases are maintained separately for Silica.
Credits and licenses
Silica's original project metadata and configuration work are provided under the BSD 3-Clause License. Every included mod, resource pack, and other third-party component remains under its respective author's license. External-content permissions and attributions are declared on Modrinth.
