skel's client is no longer being updated as of 17/04/2025, due to mods not being updated for the latest version of Minecraft.

all focus is going to be prioritised onto ONWARD and i recommend you use other modpacks, or even build one of your own. :)

what is skel's client?

skel's client is a minecraft modpack running on fabric that takes the standard vanilla experience and enhances it, whilst making sure to not overdo it and keep things simple!

the selling point

backwards compatible!

skel's client was just recently updated to version 2! but that doesn't mean version 1 is obsolete now. if your Minecraft version so happens to match with both version 1 and 2, you can still play with each other despite being on different versions of skel's client!

fully client sided

enjoy zero conflicts with vanilla servers, as this modpack primarily focuses on compatibility with many minecraft servers (primarily towards SMPs) alongside working well with the Essential mod.

essential support

this modpack comes with Essential, a minecraft mod capable of allowing your friends to join your minecraft worlds without the hassle of setting up a server easily! each mod has been picked out with the primary focus of compatibility with Essential, so enjoy playing with your friends, no matter the client!

(note: this has been tested with skel's client hosting the world. if your friend is hosting a world on a modded client that may cause conflicts with joining their world, i cannot be of any assistance.)

controller support

maybe you're not that type of person to play on a keyboard and mouse, i get that! or, maybe you're using a Steam Deck or something similar... either way, this modpack has controller support via the Controlify mod. feel free to customise it to your liking!

Steam Deck support!

thanks to Controlify and with how lightweight skel's client is, there is full Steam Deck support for skel's client!

best of all, you're in control!

with skel's client, it's your choice on what you want to customise. if you want to change how the F3 menu looks, you can do that! if you want to add any mods on top of skel's client, you can! although i wouldn't recommend it because of potential crashes. doesn't mean you can't though, eh?
