Vanilla+ Improved → Mechanics

Strata is a personal Fabric modpack built layer by layer: it starts from a solid foundation of quality-of-life, performance, and visual polish over vanilla Minecraft 26.2, with a second layer of real mechanics and technology built on top. Nothing here fights the vanilla feel — every addition is chosen to deepen it.

⚡ Performance & visuals first

Before anything else, Strata is tuned to run well on modest hardware (built and tested around 4GB VRAM). Sodium, Lithium, Entity Culling, and ImmediatelyFast carry the performance load, so the ~190 mods on top stay smooth rather than becoming dead weight. On the visual side: Sound Physics Remastered for real reverb and occlusion, Sheltered Rain Sound and Hear the Wind for atmosphere, dynamic torch-in-hand lighting, and a full BetterF3 / HUD pass tuned to the pack's cyan-on-stone theme.

⚙️ Mechanics & technology

• Tech Reborn — a self-contained tech tree: tools, processing machines, and an energy progression that layers cleanly onto vanilla.
• Create Fly — an independent community Fabric port of Create, filling the gap left by the official port's long 1.20.1 lock-in. Full kinetic system: cogwheels, shafts, water wheels, windmills, mixers, presses, and the classic contraptions.

🍲 Farming & cooking

The full Farmer's Delight Refabricated family — cooking pot, cutting board, new crops — extended with More/Crate/Rustic/Storage/Nearby/Tweaks/Display Delight for a complete cooking and food-storage loop that stays in vanilla's visual language.

🏠 Building & decor

The complete Macaw's suite — Windows, Doors, Fences & Walls, Bridges, Stairs, Furniture, Paths & Pavings, Trapdoors — for real architectural variety without leaving vanilla aesthetics behind.

🌍 World, seasons & exploration

Terralith adds dozens of new biomes with a light touch (no new ores or trees bundled in). Immersive Ores layers a full post-Netherite tool and armor progression (Vibranium → Vulpus → Enderium) across Overworld, Nether, and End. Ecliptic Seasons: Fabricated brings seasonal foliage, temperature, and crop growth to your existing world — no new save required — tied into Maple's Collections for seasonal mob texture variants.

🤝 Villagers & trade

Smart Trading, Villager Lock, and Economical Villager Trading turn trading from a one-off transaction into a living village economy — name villagers, lock them to a trading hall, and stop waiting on daily restocks.

🎒 Survival, accessories & QoL

Trinkets Updated with lantern, totem, and elytra support for real accessory slots; Traveler's Backpack; Universal Graves for a death-recovery chest; Towns and Towers for extra structures; Crawl on Demand for keybind-triggered crawling; and a long tail of smaller QoL that never gets in the way.

⚠️ A note on Terralith

Terralith's full effect only shows up in newly generated chunks — on an existing world, you'll only see new biomes at the edge of already-explored terrain. Start a fresh world if you want the complete worldgen experience from the start.

• Create Fly is an independent community fork, not affiliated with simibubi/Create. Please report Create Fly bugs on its own Discord, not on the official Create NeoForge repo.
• A Good Place (resource pack sample) and Fancy Health Bar config assets are bundled under their MIT licenses.

🎨 Recommended shader (optional)

Complementary Reimagined (Light) is the tested recommendation for hardware in the ~4GB VRAM range. Sildur's Vibrant Shaders (Lite preset) is a solid fallback if FPS suffers.
