📬 Status note:
This modpack is now outdated but I'm working on a faster, better developed reboot. I wouldn't really recommend using the modpack in its current state.
Reboot development status: ⏱️ Paused
About:
Toaster Support is a performance and optimisation modpack that aims to prevent your device from doubling as a toaster whilst running Minecraft. The goal of this modpack is to reduce Minecraft’s inefficiencies to ultimately make the game more performant and less demanding to run!
Performance:
It's important to note that performance gains will differ between devices due to hardware limitations, however, for the best performance I would recommend using the Fabric version of the modpack. The results below were the average FPS from five minutes of gameplay on a singleplayer world.
- Intel i7 1165G7/Nvidia GeForce MX350: 83 FPS (Vanilla) 195 FPS (Toaster Support Fabric)
- AMD Ryzen 5 5600X/Nvidia GeForce RTX 3070 Ti: 490 FPS (Vanilla) 1273 FPS (Toaster Support Fabric)
Installation:
To install the modpack, make sure you are using one of the launchers that currently supports Modrinth's modpack format, and follow the installation instructions for your launcher as listed in the documentation linked above.
Using an unsupported launcher? (Including Vanilla's)
If you use a launcher that does not support modpack loading or the Modrinth modpack format, you can use Superpack by Gaming32 to extract the mods from this modpack into a folder on your PC.
To run Superpack, download the latest .jar
release and double-click the file to run it with Open JDK (You will need at least Java 11). Then select the "Import from file" option from the sidebar and upload the version of this modpack you have downloaded, choose a destination for the folder to be created in and press the "Install!" button to extract the mods. You can then move the mods
from the folder created by your filepath into Minecraft's mods folder.
Note: The weird versioning is a poor workaround for an old Modrinth bug that would incorrectly link different versions that shared version numbers. This is now fixed, but I haven’t updated them since I will be removing old versions in the overhaul.
Features:
This modpack only includes optimisation mods, providing better performance and allowing you to freely add your own personal customisation mods on top of this modpack as you wish! Unlike other performance modpacks that often include QOL mods, this modpack aims to be lightweight, whilst still providing the best performance possible.
Credits:
Finally, a massive thank you to the developers of all the mods included, who this modpack would not be possible without, and to Gaming32 for making Superpack, which is an awesome tool. Once again, a huge thank you to the devs of these mods for making it easier for all of us to run the game.
